How to buy
One seller, and what it means for your finance team
Subscriptions are sold through Paddle, which acts as merchant of record. Paddle takes the payment, issues the invoice and handles the sales tax. A customer can issue a purchase order for Team, Programme, Enterprise or a pack of 25 deals; the invoice still comes from Paddle, and you pay it by bank transfer or by card.
How it works
- 1. You tell us the scale and the date. The form below is enough.
- 2. We send a quotation within one business day, in whatever form your approval process needs.
- 3. Once it is approved, you either check out by card or issue a purchase order against the quotation (Team, Programme, Enterprise, or a pack of 25 deals). Against a purchase order, Paddle invoices you, and you pay that invoice by bank transfer or by card.
- 4. Paddle issues the tax invoice, with the sales tax for your jurisdiction already calculated. That is the document your finance team files.
Single negotiation and Programme can also be bought by card straight from inside the product, through Paddle, with no quotation.
Why the invoice comes from Paddle, even against your purchase order
MarkR Management Inc. does not invoice you directly. Doing so would mean us holding provincial sales tax registrations in every jurisdiction we sell into, and administering them. We are a small company and we would rather put that effort into the product.
Paddle exists for exactly this. As merchant of record it becomes the seller for tax purposes, calculates and remits what is owed where you are, and issues you a compliant invoice. You get a proper tax document; we do not pretend to a tax capability we have not built.
If your finance rules do not permit a card, say so on the form. Every tier can be invoiced against your purchase order and paid by bank transfer; tell us anything else your process requires and we will quote it that way.

What procurement usually asks next
- Who are we actually contracting with?
- MarkR Management Inc. for the software, under the terms of service. Paddle for the payment, under its own terms. Two agreements, and both are published.
- Where is the data held?
- Documents and the record are held in Canada. Your documents stay in storage your own organisation owns. Text messages, emails and payments are processed by their providers (Twilio, Resend and Paddle). The product is designed and made in Canada.
- Do you hold a SOC 2 report?
- Not yet. The SOC 2 Type I audit engagement is scheduled to begin on Thursday 11 February 2027, and we will share the report when it is issued. We are willing to put our commitments in a contract with a remedy if we miss them.
- Can we run a security review first?
- Yes, and most of what a reviewer wants is already published rather than sent under an agreement. Anything else, ask.
- Is there a trial before we commit?
- No. There is no customer trial. The public demo shows the comparison on a real contract without signing in, and the thirty-day refund applies if you have not used Termsroom for a live negotiation. Only authorised partners receive a demo account.
- Does the other side have to buy it too?
- No. Where one party subscribes, the other joins that negotiation at no charge and on the same terms of use.
- What happens at renewal?
- It renews unless either of us gives 30 days’ notice, and any increase is capped at 5 percent a year with 60 days notice. The detail is in the terms.
